This section contains information about the people who are behind the running of the Gloucestershire VTS and what they do.

Dr Kim Hearn FRCGP Associate Director of GP Education
I am a practicing GP in Bristol and Associate Director in Gloucestershire. In this role I manage the GP Education team ensuring good quality education is delivered to all GPs in training and throughout their professional lives. I visit and approve training practices and have an input into any educational issue occurring in Gloucestershire patch. I liaise and work within the GP School in Severn Deanery with other patch AD's and the Head of School to ensure uniformity of practice across the whole school footprint. I am a Part-time GP partner at Barnwood Medical Practice in Gloucester. I was appointed in 2007 as a Course organiser to Gloucester GP Training Scheme with a particular interesting in Small Group Learning. I am the local contact for the Retainer Scheme and liaison CO to Stroud Trainers Workshop.

Dr Damian Kenny FRCGP FHEA GP Educator
Community Education Advisor in General Practice. My role is to promote continuing professional development of GPs by personal discussion and practice visits. I also facilitate workshops for appraisers and others, support GP learning groups and help to develop methods of learning with hospital colleagues
